National Digital ID

It is convenient to have SPID or CIE. These are digital identification documents. They are crucial to interact with several Italian services.

• CIE is the Carta di identita' eletrtonica. You can get it here: https://www.cartaidentita.interno.gov.it/en/

• SPID (Sistema pubblico di Identita' digitale): https://www.spid.gov.it/
  • Periodically they propose to discontinue this service, but so far it is still working
  • It is not issued by the government but by private providers. Most common ones are Poste Italiane , which has offices you can walk in pretty much anywhere, or Aruba which is an Internet Provider. Aruba it is pretty convenient if you are not in Italy since it allows a remote identity check, but it costs additional 35 Euro.

UniPD - Digital Identity AAI

Part of the IT infrastructure of the DFA is managed by the INFN (Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare = National Institute for Nuclear Physics).
The INFN registration requires two steps:

• National profile (AAI)
• Local account

  When you are registering for the section of Padova you are asked to indicate

Features

• INFN mail. You will get an e-mail account for the INFN and one for UniPD. You can ask to redirect your mail box from one to the other
• Bacheca: this is an open mailing list used to share request/info to the member of said mailing list

UniPD

Main account

The UniPD authentication service is called SSO and you can login also using your SPID/CIE.
Once you completed the registration you can have access to the account of UniPD.
